Join the Club

Wellington Hockey Association is excited to bring back our popular After School Hockey Club (ASHC) for Term 4, open to children in Years 1-6. Whether your child has enjoyed playing in Funsticks, participated in our Junior Competition , or is keen to try hockey for the first time, this programme offers a fun, active, and engaging experience for all skill levels.

The ASHC provides the perfect opportunity for kids to develop their hockey skills, stay active, and make new friends—all in a friendly, supportive environment. Sessions are designed to help players learn and grow while having a great time after school.

Led by WHA coaches, the After School Hockey Club will provide:

Six 45-minute sessions of active sport.

Sessions designed to develop entry level/basic skills.

Opportunity to make new friends.

Starts at 3:30pm for Years 1-3 and 4:15pm for Years 4-6 (subject to numbers).

On Mondays (NHS only) and Thursdays (2 HUBs).

Hockey sticks and balls are provided.

HAVE FUN.
National Hockey Stadium, Wellington (Mondays & Thursdays).

Fraser Park, Lower Hutt (Thursdays).
Age group split and start times will be subject to numbers registered to the programme. Confirmation will be sent out to parents/caregivers prior to the programme starting.

Years 1-3 sessions held 3:30pm - 4:15pm on both Mondays and Thursdays.

Years 4-6 sessions held 4:15pm - 5:00pm on both Mondays and Thursdays.

Thursdays at NHS and Fraser Park, starts: 31st October, runs for six weeks finishing on the 5th December.

Mondays at NHS only, starts: 28th October, runs for six weeks finishing on the 2nd December.

$60 per child for six 45-minute sessions.

Please bring: water bottle, weather and turf appropriate clothing/footwear (no studs) and a mouth guard.
