With the announcement last week of our Secondary Development Camp, Wellington Hockey are now pleased to announce that will be delivering an U13 Camp over the weekend of the 4th & 5th December led by Black Sticks Captain Blair Tarrant
Blair is currently in MIQ upon his return from his club stint in Germany post Tokyo and can’t wait to get on the turf with our young local players. Blair is the current captain of the Black Stick men’s team that attended the Tokyo Olympics. Having amassed 222 international caps for the Black Sticks, he has an extensive playing and coaching knowledge of European club systems, player development pathways and youth programmes. Blair will bring all of his knowledge to this camp providing a unique development opportunity for our young players.
Blair will be joined by fellow coaches from Wellington Hockey development programmes ensuring a high-quality experience. Goal keepers are welcome to enrol as there will be a goalkeeper specific trainer to assist your technical development.
This camp is for young hockey players who are Year 6 - 8 as of 2021 and want a further development opportunity. Participant numbers will be capped at 90 in order to adhere to level 2 restrictions.
