7-a-side, half-field games for children with a primary focus on developing transferable skills and conceptual understanding of hockey positioning and tactics.
Years 7 & 8 Competition
The Kwik Sticks (years 7 & 8) competition will start on 3rd May 2025 until 13th September 2025, on Saturday mornings between 9:00am-12:30pm. The draw will be published on PlayHQ. Please check playing and non-playing days outlined here.

Our Kwik Sticks (Year 7 & 8) competition hosts 7-a-side games for children with a primary focus on developing transferable skills and conceptual understanding of hockey positioning and tactics.
Games will be played at Wellington's National Hockey Stadium, Lower Hutt's Fraser Park, Upper Hutt's Maidstone Park, Porirua's Elsdon Park and the Kapiti Sports Turf in Paraparaumu.
