MAG and WHA are proud to announce the Masters teams selected to represent at the 2026 Vantage National Masters Tournament in North Harbour. The Masters community continues to grow, with both new and returning coaches on board. Congratulations to all selected players as preparations begin for February’s tournament.

Wellington Athletes Selected for 2025 Premier Hockey League
Wellington Hockey is proud to celebrate the selection of several local athletes named in the Falcons squads for the 2025 Premier Hockey League, with the season kicking off on 8 November. Fans can catch the action live when Wellington hosts a home double-header weekend at the National Hockey Stadium later in December.

Hockey Without Limits: A Day of Inclusion and Fun
Wellington Hockey’s first Hockey Without Limits programme was a huge success, giving 30 participants with physical and intellectual disabilities the chance to play, learn, and enjoy the game. This new initiative is proudly supported by the Halberg Foundation, College Sport Wellington, and Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa.

Hockey and Softball to share the Fraser Park Hockey Pavilion this Summer
Wellington Hockey and the Hutt Valley Dodgers Softball Club will share the Fraser Park Pavilion this summer, giving softball a nearby home base while hockey continues as usual. The six-month trial won’t affect turf access, with changing rooms now accessible via the rear entrance.

Fun Sticks – Term 3 Registrations Open!
Fun Sticks is back for Term 3! This 6-week programme is perfect for Year 1 & 2 tamariki keen to learn hockey through fun activities, skill-building, and game play in a friendly, supportive environment.
Dates: 15 July – 23 August
Cost: $55 for six-sessions, all equipment provided

Upper Hutt (Maidstone) – Wednesdays, 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Lower Hutt (Fraser Park) – Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM
Porirua (Elsdon) – Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Wellington City (NHS) – Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Karori (Kelburn) – Tuesdays, 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM

Wellington Hockey’s 2025 In-Season Development Programme is open for U13 (Year 7–8) and U15 (Year 9+, under 15 as of 1 Jan) players looking to further develop their skills and game understanding in a fun, supportive environment.

LNI U13 Festival Wraps Up in Whanganui
The 2025 U13 Festival in Whanganui wrapped up with Wellington representing eight teams and nine junior officials, along with plenty of positive vibes on and off the turf. Thank you to Hockey Wanganui and all the players, coaches, managers, officials, and supporters who made the festival a success.
